Make It Creative: How Johnny Found His Passion in Webflow
Introducing Nikola Mitic, fondly known as "Johnny" among us—a name that sticks because of his unforgettable personality. A true music aficionado and singer by heart, Johnny's enthusiasm for music is contagious. Strike up a tune, and he'll seamlessly join in, probably outshining you with his vocals.
But what really makes Johnny stand out is his unmistakable style. He's meticulous about his appearance, sporting a neatly trimmed beard that adds a glow to his persona and a perfectly styled pompadour.
“My career path looked very different at the beginning. I was educated to become a pharmacist, but I didn’t like it. It was too… boring for me.”
Johnny eagerly discussed his interests, which… didn’t have to do much with pharmacy.
“I always knew I wanted to do something creative, and that was definitely not being a pharmacist. I was always into acting and singing. For a while, I was into painting too, but it was too static for me.”
Johnny and Flow Ninja: Mutual Love for Webflow
Before Johnny even started thinking about coding, he was deeply involved in the arts—singing, acting, and more. He even participated in a singing show back in the day, something that he fondly remembers.
“I started writing code on my own, and I was attracted to Webflow, as it had this creative side to it. It allowed me to develop AND design.”
Johnny enrolled in IT Bootcamp, an organization that provided education and job opportunities for people who wanted to be in IT.
“As soon as I completed the training, they sent my resume to Flow Ninja — and I was accepted for an internship.”
After three months, Johnny received an offer for a full-time position in Flow Ninja, and he has been part of the team since then.
How’s It Going at Flow Ninja, Johnny?
“There’s plenty of things why I enjoy working at Flow Ninja, but the young and ambitious team is definitely very important to me. I like how we’re always there for each other. Nobody is egoistical or selfish when it comes to work — we simply work as a team.”
It was difficult for Johnny to name a single favorite memory from work, but he claimed that teambuilding exursions were close to the top of that list.
“There was the teambuilding event in Jelašnica, where we had this rope-climbing activity. I was super-scared, as I am afraid of heights, but I did it!”
He also hesitated to share one of his favorite memories from teambuilding events: “I will let others tell you more, but let’s just say I set a standard.”
When asked about his favorite client, Johnny didn’t mention anyone in particular. “As long as we have a good and transparent relationship, I enjoy working with them.”
A Round of Rapid-Fire Questions for Johnny

I don’t really like to put music into genres. As long as I like it, I will listen to it or even sing it.
What’s your favorite remote work location?
As long as there’s nature around me, with a lot of green color, I’ll take it. I’d just have my dogs and my wife around me.
Can you recommend a movie or a show?
My favorite show is Friends. Why? Well, it’s a show about a period of life when your friends are actually your family. When I left Niš for university, I had a chance to experience that myself.
As for movies, I like all Marvel movies, and Iron Man is my favorite. I also like watching comedies occasionally. We’re The Millers comes to mind. Finally, I enjoy a good thriller or mystery.

I’d like to go everywhere, as long as these destinations have a story to tell. I am not a fan of cities such as Dubai, as they don’t have much to offer in terms of culture or history.
Other things you should try?
Whatever it is — try it. It’s better to try, fail, and feel bad than never to have tried anything.
